F4AC Virtual Kick Off: Your Support Makes a Difference
On September 16th, we officially kicked off Fish for A Cure 2020 and celebrated our more than decade-long history of support of the Cancer Survivorship Program at Anne Arundel Medical Center’s Geaton and JoAnn DeCesaris Cancer Institute. Thanks to you, over that last 10+ years we have raised more than $3.4 million to date for this life-changing care program with our F4AC Tournament, Paul C. Dettor Captain’s Challenge, and Shore Party.
Now more than ever, our continued commitment as captains, anglers, corporate partners, and friends of F4AC touch the lives of thousands of patients and their families undergoing a cancer diagnosis and treatment in our community. Because of your partnership, AAMC’s oncology team is able to provide a lifeline of compassionate support for all those who need it. As Dr. Adam Riker, AAMC’s Chair of Oncology, reminds patients, ‘We are here for you!”
Battling Breast Cancer
Liane, a young adult Breast Cancer warrior, shares her story about her personal fight against cancer being 90% mental, and how her survivorship team was a beacon of hope throughout her journey. Watch the video here.
Don’t Miss the Boat
This year’s event will look a little different, but you can count on our collective effort in making a splash in cancer care for our friends, loved ones, and neighbors. Your support makes stories of survivorship like Liane’s possible.
More than 26 boats to date have already registered to participate in this year’s F4AC Tournament, Paul C. Dettor Captain’s Challenge, and Virtual Shore Party on Saturday. November 7th, 2020, but our ripple effect is stronger together! You can make a difference by signing up your crew and donate to a boat today.
